Everyone. From those who just want to be able to take command of their own fitness, to those interested in being able to move without pain in the later years of life.

While nearly everyone begins with significant physical movement in childhood, the distractions of adult life often require willpower to include regular movement. Women in particular benefit from strength training by building a foundation of muscle and bone density to reduce any possible effect of reduced estrogen throughout menopause.

Every human body greatly benefits from regular, deliberate movement, and in particularly pushing and pulling and twisting against resistance. This program will give you the knowledge and confidence to include movement in your already busy life.

Not at all. Every movement has progressions from absolute beginner to advanced. We’ll start exactly where you are.

We will discuss existing injuries, rehabilitation, concerns, and workarounds. I want you to train safely and without additional concern. Please be forthcoming about any current injuries, discomfort, or limitations and we will continuously find a way to build strength and mobility without adding stress.

Typically 45 to 60 minutes which includes a warm up, skill and strength focus, and the main workout. I often include a finishing section to improve skills or activate areas not utilized during the workout.

Initial sessions are recommended to take place at the Funxion training room adjacent to Toblerplatz. Subsequent sessions can occur outside at a park or in your apartment in or near Zürich. Online coaching is available, though usually reserved for clients outside of Zürich.

Comfortable clothing and sports shoes, ideally indoor shoes for the Funxion training room and your apartment. I also recommend bringing water and a small towel. That’s all.

Training with just your bodyweight will take you very far. As you progress, you might also consider a pair of hanging rings or even a pull-up bar to expand your options. A kettlebell and a pair of dumbbells can also be useful, I can show you how to use these effectively at home.
